Are You Motivated?
Updated: Jan 26, 2021
The key to reaching your goals is staying motivated. I keep a picture of my family on my desk. It reminds me to stay fit so I’m able to run around the yard with my daughter and never be too tired to play with her after school. It also holds me accountable to staying healthy for my wife so I'm still able to travel around the world with her when we are both old and wrinkly. When we think about goals, personal or professional, it is important to keep them logical. Think short-term and long-term. Plan out the steps on how to get there and cross them off as you go. Each morning, I write down my Top 6 tasks I want to accomplish for that day. By physically seeing these tasks crossed off, I am telling my mind that they have been accomplished. This keeps me on track and motivated to finish. The same principle applies to long-term health goals. Goals fuel motivation. Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months. Be patient! The results will come!
