Who We Are
I didn't plan to start a small business. I was just a recreational athlete who's been playing sports since I was four years old. I couldn't find a glove that actually held up while providing the best grip possible during my training sessions (later golf). So, I drew one myself. Literally on paper, in our spare bedroom, while my wife was eight months pregnant with our first child. That became Paramount Athletics.
That was 2019. A lot has changed since then.
I'm Álvaro, a NASM-certified trainer in Sugar Land, TX and dad of two daughters who remind me every day why taking care of your body matters. I work with adults who want to get stronger and feel better, and with high school athletes chasing university athletic scholarship opportunities. Health and performance aren't just a brand to me. They're how I've lived my entire life.
A few years in, I started noticing something with my clients and honestly with myself. I have clients over 40 moving like they are in their 20s. On the other hand, I noticed one gray hair that kept growing on my chin. Same spot. Every time. The aging stuff hits differently in your 30s. Energy, recovery, gray hairs showing up earlier than you expect. I spent years digging into the actual science behind it and recently put together a guide initially for my mom since I want to keep her young forever.
